According to a report from Celebuzz, Kristen and Dakota also starred in the rock biopic The Runaways, so they’ve had lots of time to become friends and get to know each other’s acting styles.

Dakota Fanning is a stunning cover girl on the February issue ofCosmopolitan, but inside its pages she dishes on how impressed she’s always been with her friend and co-star Kristen.

“We had a few scenes that were crazy intimidating, and maybe once or twice, [Kristen] was like ‘Okay, I have a butterfly in my stomach,’” Dakota said of shooting Runways with her costar. “Meanwhile, I’m hyperventilating! Sometimes I give her sh*t for being so on the ball.”

Kristen Stewart is nothing if not 100 percent on the ball. From filming Twilight movies in her infamous role as Bella Swan to recently wrapping up the filming of Snow White and the Huntsman, she has acting down to a science. Then of course there’s her relationship with Robert Pattinson that makes every girl who has ever seen Breaking Dawn Part 1 positively swoon.

Dakota Fanning, however, is pretty much on the ball, too. She has managed to combine acting with a college education–something many actors wouldn’t even dream of attempting. Where does she get her self-confidence that allows such accomplishments?

“Since I was young, I’ve always known who I was. I never really had to go through finding who I am. I’ve always felt really secure,” she says.

No wonder Dakota Fanning and Kristen Stewart are such great friends. Could you imagine Kristen being friends with someone who was a complete slouch? No way! She and Dakota are a lot a like and that likely fanned the flames of their relationship as friends and co-stars. And theirs is no doubt a friendship that will last for years to come.
